Next Saturday (November 17th)Irwin’s is sponsoring/hosting an adult league game at the Wells Fargo Arena, with an Iowa Stars game to follow. Tickets are just $10 and include a ton of great stuff. Admission to both games, 1:30 Adult game, 7:05 Stars game, great lower level seats for the Stars game(sit where you want for the adult league game), and a hot dog, chips, and soda during the Stars game. This is a great way to kick off Thanksgiving week. The adult league game will be played mostly by B league players, but our very own Bill Goodman will be on the ice as well. The gap in between games will let people go get some food and/or some drinks in the downtown area before the Stars game. There are plenty of tickets available, please purchase them right here at Irwin’s.

Just a quick update about our Women’s Clinic (Nov 14): Our Specialized sales rep will be here to give an informational clinic and Q and A session about women’s bicycle clothing and the advantages of bicycle clothing in general. His session will take place following the previously scheduled cleaning and lubing instructional portion of the evening.

In about two weeks we’ll be hosting another Women’s Only Maintenance Clinic on November 14th. Same deal as last time, Wednesday night at 6pm, registration is helpful but not required, everyone is invited to join us for a meal and socializing afterwards. This time we’ll be going over cleaning and lubing, which shouldn’t take too long, so there will likely be a good bit of time for a question and answer session that can be about basically anything. So, last night’s big finale ride didn’t happen. Rain. Predictions of more rain. Lots of doom in the forecast. None of these were good signs, so we didn’t ride. Seven people made it down to El Bait Shop and had a nice meal and a few beers anyway. But riding is really what we were trying to do, so next week we’ll try again. Same deal: meet at Irwin’s at 5:30, ride downtown, eat (probably at El Bait Shop), ride home in the dark. Should be a great time.
