Bill started working with bikes as a “temporary” job with Marty’s in Newton after graduating from Iowa State with a degree in Business Management. Two years later in 1990 he started another “temporary” job at Irwin’s, and is still looking for that illusive ”permanant” job.
Bill is married to Julie, whom he met on RAGBRAI, and they were married in 1991. There are no children in the family, but plenty of furry 4 legged kids(cats).
Bill has ALOT of hobbies. He started playing league hockey at 41-it is never to late to try something new. As an avid sprint car fan he attends the Chili Bowl in Oklahoma and the Knoxville Nationals every year. He is just thrilled with the new Iowa Speedway in Newton and got to see the very first race there from a suite on the start/finish line. Bill has many “toys” which include but is not limited to remote controls cars, numerous bicycles, hundreds of cd’s, dvd’s, and a tool collection that would make some mechanics jealous. He also enjoys fishing and visiting his parents in upper Minnesota.
