End Of Winter Hockey
Winter hockey came to a close earlier this month. The Irwin’s team in C-League did well during the regular season but lost in the first round of the playoffs. The one thing everyone in the locker room agreed on is we replaced players who quit with C-Leaguers and D-Leaguers who wanted to move up. No new ringers on this team. We did have the leagues leading scorer in Joel Brett. He had 65 points with second place being 36. Next year he will move up if he plays. It was fun playing with him. I finished 5th on our team in scoring and with our top 2 scorers moving on we better all step up our scoring. Hopefully the other teams players who were too good for the league also move on. We want a C-League not a B-. Overall it was a fun year and I met a bunch of new great people. We have at least half of the team coming back next and look forward to another fun year.
