That’s our suggestion anyway, come ride with us tonight, bring your bike, trainer, and sweetie. Or at the least, come ride and then invite your date to meet you at El Mariachi for a fun filled meal. We’d suggest you have your “romantic” date this weekend. Come have some less romantic fun with us tonight.
Just a reminder: no Sunday morning ride this weekend. Probably the week after, weather pending. We’ll keep you posted, both here and in person at the Wednesday rides.

Well, not yet, but perhaps soon. Punxsutawney Phil has predicted an early spring, and by late this week/early next week, we’re supposed to be seeing temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Maybe not your prefered riding weather, but it sure beats the heck out of the single digits we’ve had the last few weeks. With warmer weather potentially on the way, there’s no better time to start shopping for a new bike. We’ve still got sweet deals on ‘06 models and we just got more 2007 models. We’re all very impressed with the looks of the new Specialized Roubaix Comp, the other models look great too. Stop in, and check them out.
Mark and Kyle both made blog posts today. Mark’s was briefly displayed on the front page but that has been fixed.
Next Sunday we will not be riding for 3 hours in the basement, Kyle will be out of town, and Mark hopes to ride outside. Maybe the week after we’ll give it a go again. We’ll keep you posted.

I had a busy weekend. Worked out several times, saw Phantom of the Opera at the Civic Center on Saturday night, and got in a 3 hour trainer ride Sunday morning. Being off of work Friday and Saturday gave me both time and energy to hit the gym pretty hard both days. Lots of ab work. Once i shed a few pounds when I start commuting, I should have some nice looking abs. I gotta do more cardio. The trainer ride on Sunday morning went pretty well, legs were a little tired from lifting, but I still went 46-ish miles in the three hours. I’m really just a base building experience, getting my body ready to go the second spring hits. Now if I could just find the motivation to either get up and go workout early or eat dinner at 9:30, I’d be pretty well set for training. That said, once I can commute again, I’m going to be carrying an extra pannier with some extra weight in it. Gotta turn the commute into some weight training, or something. On my days off I’m planning on doing long gravel rides, with a good bit of gear and just wandering around the back roads, getting in some big mileages. With any luck, spring will get here soon.

So our Wednesday Night Ride was well attended this week, with the workout being brought to you by the number 2. Despite what Kyle will tell you, two is a number and not a letter. Everyone seemed to have worked really hard, and enjoyed themselves, at least afterwards at supper.
Due to overwhelming demand and Mark and Kyle’s need to force themselves to ride more, we will be having our Sunday morning ride again. Three more hours of trainer riding, movie watching, leg burning good times. We don’t do any set workout, just a good long spin. If you interested show up around 8 am and we’ll aim to finish around 11. All are welcome, and if you have to leave early for whatever reason that’s fine too. No idea on the movies we’ll be watching yet, but we’ll figure that out. Show up! Kyle and Mark need company.
