To paraphrase Bob Barker, “A brand new bike!” Or, should you be pleased with the one you have and don’t have room in the garage for another one, get some new gear at great prices. If you were one of the lucky ones who got a bike, come get the accessories to make it truly yours. You can also bring it tonight and get a nice workout with some friendly people, right here at Irwin’s. Our weekly trainer rides are still going strong. Get a jump start on your New Year’s Resolution, and come ride.
Mark’s been hard at work on the Specialized section of the product catalog, claims he’ll finish it “very soon.” Stay tuned.

The Product Catalog has been updated, at least the Schwinn portion. Just finished getting descriptions and pictures together for the 2007 Schwinn bicycles. You can check it all out right here.
Wednesday Night trainer rides are still going strong, so stop in and give it a try, it’s more fun than riding alone at home.
We will be closed Sunday December 24th, as well as the 25th. So don’t wait unil the absolute last minute, the 23rd is enough procrastinating. Happy holidays.

So far the weather hasn’t turned on us. Sure it’s gotten a little colder but it’s not horrible out. In fact, for December, it’s pretty nice. There’s still some great deals on 2006 bikes left, and 2007 models are rolling in steadily to take their place. Check out both the great deals and the new stuff. Don’t neglect to scroll down a bit and check out pics of Jack’s trike.
Mark also made a blog post about staying motivated to train, and already dreaming about TransIowa.

Okay, Kyle and I were accepted for Trans Iowa V3, and as such I need to keep what shape I’ve got and be ready to hit it hard come the first warm days of spring. So far I’ve been having a little luck with getting outside a putting in a few miles on my days off, but between the holidays, work, shopping, and being sick/recovering, I’m definitely losing a bit of fitness. Riding the trainer just isn’t as much fun as it should be. I guess riding the trainer will, in addition to keeping me in shape, help the mental game a bit. TransIowa should be a really long and difficult undertaking, hopefully a ton of fun though. Something that can be looked back on with a laugh and a smile, and an air of “I can’t believe I did that.”

Jack loves his bright green Catrike Speed, but he’s eager to try the new Catrike 700. So to make room(in both the showroom and his wallet) for the 700, he’s got to sell his Speed. This is one outstanding bike, as you can see from the pictures below. The photos look great but you really gotta see this thing in person to appreciate the color and style. Because it’s been ridden a bit this past summer, Jack’s willing to let it go for $2000, which is a $500 savings. The Catrike Speed features a 20 inch rear wheel, 16 inch front wheels, 27 speed drivetrain and a great, laid back riding position. Jack’s comes with nice extra such as dual sided Shimano clipless pedals, bottle cage, rear view mirror, and (in you need it) an extra long boom. If you have questions of comments, or just want to take it for a ride, give us a call or stop in. Click on each image for a larger picture.
